Control Freaks Blog Hop – Home for the Holidays

Welcome to the Control Freaks blog hop – our theme for November is HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS.  You may have just arrived from Connie Babbert's blog or you may just be starting here. Either way – I'm super excited to show you what I made. I love love love the WINTER WOODS stamp set and I combined it with another of my favorites – DASHING DEER!!!

I love copper with the rich color of Merry Merlot. I will have a video posted on my blog in a separate post after the blog hop to show you all the details. But for now I'll let you know that I used the LAYERING CIRCLES FRAMELITS to cut a circle in my front layer and then ran it through the SWIRLS & CURLS EMBOSSING FOLDER. I stamped the trees with Early Espresso ink and then stamped them again with Merry Merlot ink just slightly off setting it on a Whisper White layer. The embossed layer is added over the white layer with Dimensionals. My deer is die cut on COPPER FOIL SHEETS and added with regular and mini Dimensionals. 

I spritzed the white layer and the embossed layer with a combination of rubbing alcohol and a couple drops of BRIGHT COPPER SHIMMER PAINT to give it a dazzling shimmer that really isn't pronounced in the photos – but trust me when I tell you that it's AMAZING!

The inside greeting is stamped with Merry Merlot and I die cut the flowers in the corners from the DASHING DEER thinlits and then set them back in place. Kind of interesting don't you think?
