Oh my…I was going through my photo gallery today and found these…I almost forgot to share this fabulous gift with you!!!!
I made a bunch of cards for my mom for her birthday – AND SHE LOVED THEM!!!!
I used an empty Wood Stamp Set Case (did you know you can buy them!), put a pretty little belly band around it, hung a cutie patootie tag ne it and topped it off with a 3-D flower using the Sprial Flower Die!!! A piece of SAB DSP was perfect – you just cut it and slip it in where the stamp set label would go.
A jumbo pearl in the middle of my flower was the perfect accent!
Now for my cards – Some of these photos I take myself…but I'm not a professional photographer and I'm usually pretty busy making cards – ya know! I love looking around online for photos using GOOGLE IMAGES. I save them to my computer and upload them to Walgreens to print. The best quality cards are printed in a Matte Finish – no fingerprints. Some of the photos that I upload to print – are grainy…and I don't use those. There's no way to know – so I only print one of each until I can pick them up and see what I get.
I cut my photos so I can mat them with a layer of cardstock to make them pop – like the black layer under this beautiful dandilion photo. I also played around and added white embossed images to some of my photos this time. That was a little tricky – if you try to heat it too long it will make the photo bubble.
It's so fun to play around with different mats and color combos, punches and greetings. Below is a link to a few gorgeous sets I made a while back – I got pretty fancy with them:
