Welcome to the August A PAPER PUMPKIN THING blog hop. We have a beautiful kit called The Gift of Fall to play with this month. THESE ARE MY COLORS! Summer is my favorite season but it's closely followed by fall – I love the rich, colorful colors of fall and this kit is GOR-JEE-OUS! These colors are just so rich and pretty. I chose a Pretty Peacock card base and the color vellum die cuts with the colorful banner for my first card. I used Pretty Peacock to stamp my sentiment on the Crumb Cake die cut banner.
And then those little bags – oh my! I chose to cut off the top and make a little box container. I folded the top edge of the bag over about 1/2" to make the top nice and sturdy.
Dimensions:
- Pretty Peacock 2 @ 3" x 4 1/4" & 2 @ 2" x 3"
- Printed Paper 2 1/2" x 4"
My matching card uses the same color card stock – Pretty Peacock. I also added a layer of Whisper White to the inside with the sprig image stamped in Pretty Peacock ink.
Dimensions:
- Pretty Peacock 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"
- Whisper White 4" x 5 1/4"
- Banner cut to 4" long
I love this gift set – a beautiful card and matching box – perfect combo!
And don't you just love this wreath circle layer – the colors are delicious! I ran the Merry Merlot layer through the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder. Again a Whisper White layer was added to the inside with the spring image stamped in Pretty Peacock ink.
Dimensions:
- Crushed Curry 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"
- Merry Merlot 4" x 5 1/4"
- Whisper White 4" x 5 1/4"
I can't hardly wait to make some more gorgeous cards with my kit! I'm going to be SOOOOO ready and sending out fall cards as soon as summer is over!
