Creating Stencils with Dies

This is an easy and fun way to make the most of your dies. You get a whole new perspective when you can create even more with your tools. A blending brush, ink and a die of your choice will get you started.

This card uses the oval frame die to create a pretty image on this card front. Not a lot of fuss – this is what I would call a CLEAN & CRISP design. I used Pool Party ink and the same for the card base.

Dimensions:

Pool Party — 4 1/4″ x 11″
Basic White — 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ (inside) & 3 3/4″ x 5″ (front panel for stenciling)

This one uses the negative of the oval frame die to create a soft and pretty background on the Basic White front. I then used a Sponge Dauber, Silicone Craft Sheet and glue to attach the intricate die to the blended background of the stencil.

Fresh Freesia — 4 1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5 1/2″
Basic White — 2 @ 4″ x 5 1/4″ & scrap for die cut
