This is my first ever Blog Hop and I couldn't be more excited – WOOT WOOT!!! I was nominated by a fellow demo, Dena Rekow at The Creativity Cave, a good friend who you've seen in my trip photos for the last several years – Dena knows how to have a GREAT time – always such a funny goof!!! The blog hop is to highlight Stampin UP! projects by demonstrators for your inspiration! After my project, I"ll have a few Q/A's for you to read, too!
Here's a fun card with using a Technique I call FOLDER TAPPING. I inked up my Chevron embossing folder and tapped my layers of cardstock into the ink to give it a Shabby Chic look – LOVE IT! The new stamp set called Crazy About You has 30 different words to make up all kinds of word combinations – LOVE IT TOO!!!
Here's the inside of my card…just a little FOLDER TAPPING on the top and bottom of my Vanilla layer.
Here's a video that will show you some GREAT tips on using the Thinlits:

Another new product is the Hello You Thinlits – Here they are!!! Make sure you watch my video to see my HUGE tip on using these intricate thinlits…it will rock your die-cutting world!!!

Here are a few questions I was asked to answer for the Blog Hop…
1) What are you working on?
I've been super busy making swap cards using the NEW Occassions Mini Catalog products and also the FREE Sale-a-Bration items. I completed 60+ swaps cards this weekend that will be sent out – I'll receive all different swaps back from all over the country to share with you on my blog and also have available for everyone to see at my classes. I also love to CASE (Create and Share Everything) these cards for my monthly Card Buffet.
2) How does your work differ from others in your genre?
I absolutely love cards that are different…moving cards, shaker cards and I am somewhat of a freak about techniques. Teaching you, my customers, the newest and greatest is my favorite!!! I'm always excited to show how to use our super high quality products as they are intended and also some ways that they are not intended.
3. Why do you create what you do?
My love of paper crafs is what keeps me going – making a card that you can sit back and admire brings a great deal of satisfaction for me. Being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is one of the best decisions I ever made – to LOVE your job is the utlimate gift!
4. How does your creativity process work?
I create alot of my cards by doing online searches to first look at what others are making…when I'm looking at those projects, I like to pay close attention to what grabs my eye…color schemes, attractive layouts, etc. Sometimes I just go surfing in search of layouts that use similar size stamps. And SOMETIMES I just sit down with a stamp set and create something all on my own! I think Stampin' Up!'s Idea Book is a huge inspiration too!
I hope you enjoyed my card and video. Please join these very talented ladies, Catherine Harwood at Launching Creativity and Sarah Simon at Create With Sarah next week on Monday, 1/26 for their fabulous projects. Hope you enjoy them! Happy Stamping!!!
