For the 4th Graders

Are these perfect for a bunch of 4th graders? I thought so! My daughter, Hailey, is in the final stretch of her college career – WHOO HOO!!!!  The hubby made the last tuition payment a couple months ago and I will NOT pay over-inflated prices for books that sell back for $10 each ever again (I'm not going to miss those $400-$500 bills) because she'll cross the finish line on May 12th!!!! HAPPY DANCE! Hailey is an education major and she was assigned to do her student teaching with 4th graders at a local school. She LOVED it and them! Of course three days before her gig was up – I get a phone call with a request for 24 cards!! DROP EVERYTHING! And here they are:

This one was for the teacher – just a small token of her appreciation!

The NOTE CARDS & ENVELOPES really helped me in a pinch. They are all cut and scored – just fold and decorate! I chose the PICK A PATTERN DESIGNER SERIES PAPER because those dinosaurs are so stinking adorable! I can't remember which set I utilized for the greetings – but anything will work…well maybe not ANYTHING…like a sympathy set might not be appropriate!

Hailey absolutely LOVED 4th grade! It's funny because throughout her process she's always said she wanted to teach 1st or 2nd graders. I was so thrilled when she was assigned 4th grade….and I was pretty sure she was going to love it. Right now she just started her student teaching with 8th graders…and again I thought she would love it and she does! She's been so surprised by this…but not me! She has a way with kids of all ages and I think she would make an amazing mentor for those older kids.

MAY 12TH PEOPLE!!! MAY 12TH is her official graduation day! I can't hardly wait!!!

P.S. As of this blog post – she's started her big girl adventure into the world of interviewing!!! After a job fair for a local school district, she received a call back for a 2nd interview!!! And just did an interview in a small town nearby for a 5th grade position. WOW! It's real! It's happening!!! I can't hardly wait for her to start this new journey in her life! Any child is going to be so very lucky to have her as their teacher – PASSION!!! PASSION is where it's at! I might even consider having another baby just so they can be her student! Ummmm…just kidding!!!! LOL!

  1. Haley is so lucky to have such a clever Mum as yourself Kelly. Making 24 cards one for each child and a teacher’s one too. I am sure my Mum would not have done this for me when I was going through my Teacher Training Course at University. The cards are great, the kids are going to love them. I will keep my fingers crossed for Haley at interviews it is often difficult at this time because all you want to do is get into your own classroom and teach, but there are so many others out there going for the same job too. Don’t let her get despondent the right job will come along even if it is not after the first few interviews. Mine did and I stayed there for 12 years developing my teaching and management skills. I then became a Deputy and ended up a Head Teacher after 20 years of teaching. Any help I can be for Haley let me know. :O)
