First….let me wish you a VERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! I hope this day finds you filled with love, family, friendship and fond memories of past Christmas'. I'll be spending the weekend with my mom in Central Wisconsin. We wake up on Christmas morning to open presents and feast on a homemade breakfast made by the QUEEN OF BREAKFAST – my MOM. Then we'll start getting the turkey, stuffing and mashed potatoes & gravy ready for the feast. I have to tell you about my moms AMAZING green bean casserole. She doesn't make it like most people – you know the cream of mushroom soup from a can…she make the most incredible homemade white sauce, sautés sliced mushrooms in butter and adds the crunchy onions to the top – it is the BEST and my favorite dish at holiday meals.
