It’s Technique Tuesday!!!

Join me tonight at 5:30 or 6:30 at Trinity Lutheran School in Menasha for a fabulous class!  Our technique is called WRINKLE FREE DISTRESS.  The possibilities with this technique are endless…I can't wait to play with more colors too!

Isn't this an elegant…distressed background?

With the Technique Tuesday class you'll get to make 3 projects and an instruction card with the Technique right on it!  You can use these to make your own book of "TECHNIQUES!"  The class is $5 with a $15 order or FREE with a $40 order.  Just pop on in…I always have extras cut!

Ingredients  Stamps: Rue Des Fleurs  Ink: Night of Navy; Bashful Blue; Crumb Cake  Accessories: wax paper; fine mist spray bottle; heat tool  Cardstock: Night of Navy Base, 2-7/8 x 3-1/4, 1-1/8 x 4 Crumb Cake 4 x 5-1/4 Very Vanilla 1 x 4, 2-3/4 x 3

I used the Rue Des Fleurs stamp set – a BRAND NEW one from the Occasions Mini Catalog!

Here's a little tutorial on how I did it:

Swipe your ink pads right on some wax paper or any non-porous surface (I used freezer paper).  You want to keep the inks from touching each other.

Mist with water in a fine mist bottle until small beads form.

Lay your cardstock down on the watered ink.  Use a heat tool to dry.  Your cardstock will curl up – don't worry – it will lay back down when it's dry.  I heated mine from the front and the back – alternating to keep the curling down.

Stamp and embellish as desired.

Here are the other projects we'll be making!!!  I'll show you more photos and details later in the week.  If you can't make it on Tuesday (3/6) – make sure you MARK YOUR CALENDARS for the next Technique Tuesday on Monday, April 9th – yes, that is a Monday…soccer season will be upon us and I have a big game to go to on Tuesday!

  2. Hey Kelly:
Thanks for sharing this technique! I’m always looking for new (which are sometimes OLD) ones to share.
This is one I hadn’t seen before and looks like a LOT of fun! Plus I have the set, so that makes it even easier to CASE!
    Thanks for sharing…
