Happy 2014! Sorry I've been absent for awhile….I'm battling computer problems and they just keep getting worse. I fried my hard drive for the 2nd time in 2-1/2 years…urghhhh!
I'm using Hailey's laptop to fill in until mine is fixed. I'm trying to update today and I just downloaded a program on this laptop that will allow me to get customized screen shots (something that was standard on my MAC). This was program that I use to use when I had my old Windows based laptop. Well…apparently I also downloaded a virus to go with it! It keeps shutting my internet explorer off and has tons of pop-ups. I'm back on a system that I haven't used in a long time (challenging), typing on a keyboard that I have to backspace every other word because I'm not use to it (frustrating) and to top it off my internet keeps shutting down because of the virus (just shoot me now!).
I just learned Friday that Best Buy cannot retrieve any data from my fried hard drive…and the warranty does not allow them to give me my broken hard drive back so I can send it to a facility in Madison (instead of their recommended location that starts at about $1000) to try and retrieve the data (ie my photos for the last 3 years). So I have another fight on my hands…hmmm.
I always look on the bright side and 2014 hasn't started out so good for me….BUT it could always be worse. This is a minor hiccup in the sceme of life and I know so many people dealing with HUGE issues. So I will count my lucky stars, smile and move on.
