Real Pheasant Feathers!!!

This is one of my favorite stamp sets this fall!  I just love the Harvest of Thanks set! I combined it with the Walk in the Wild set and I have a winner! I needed a masculine design for a swap…and this is what I came up with…just dripping of masculinty!!! 

Jenny Peterson made a similar card using this layout that she shared at the Founder's Circle swap.  You can see Jenny's original card HERE.  Thanks so much Jenny!

Here's a close up of the pheasant….I used Crystal Effects on the bird to make it look shiney, like glass.

Thanks so much to my Uncle Pete for the REAL pheasant feathers!  If you know a bird hunter…just ask them for some too!

My card base is Soft Suede with the Woodgrain embossing folder – then I sponged the edges with Soft Suede too.  My tag is 3-1/8 x 2-1/4 – stamped in Summer Starfruit.  I used Early Espresso to stamp the pheasant and colored it with ink and Aqua Painters.  The Just For You is stamped in Cajun Craze.  I used scotch tape behind the tag to adhere the feathers.  What man wouldn't LOVE this card???
