Recipe Book Retirement Gift

Here is a fabulous gift for a retiring coworker of mine!!!  One of the first tasks at my new job…I was called into a meeting with some coworkers and they asked me for ideas on creating a cookbook with recipes from everyone could contribute to!  WELL – THIS WAS RIGHT UP MY ALLEY!!!  The first thing I thought about was My Digital Studio and how cool it would be to create a hard covered book for one of the women I was taking over for!!!

Everyone was asked to email me a recipe and they could include photos if they wanted.  I went to work right away!  I used my library of digital downloads to choose the Sale-A-Bration designer series paper from last year.  It's fun and whimsical and perfect for this project.

I added ribbons and brads and butterflies to enhance the pages.  I just copied the recipes from my emails and dropped them into my text boxes – it was soooo easy!

And some included photos of themselves so Marlene would remember them!

And some people submitted photos of Marlene's favorite Chicago Cubs team…and some made fun of the fact that Marlene is a Cubs fan!
