I’m so happy you’re joining me today for the TOTALLY TECHNIQUES BLOG HOP – we are featuring brayering on embossing folders – such a cool technique! I have two different brayer techniques for you today. You’ll find a video tutorial showing you how to do it here:
I had so much fun designing cards with the THOUGHTFUL MOMENTS HYBRID EMBOSSING FOLDER and the new STAMPIN’ BRAYER!
My first card is designed for a MAN. I love the masculine color and thought the diamond patter from the FUN PATTERNS EMBOSSING FOLDERS was perfect for this one.
Here’s a close up to show the WHITE CRAFT INK I used to brayer over the embossed design.
Dimensions:
- Basic White Thick — 11″ x 4 1/4″ scored at 5 1/2″
- Night of Navy — 4″ x 5 1/4″ & scrap
- Basic White — scrap
- Vellum Cardstock — scrap
My second card is definitely NOT for a man! I used the other embossing folder from the FUN PATTERNS EMBOSSING FOLDERS for the floral design. Again I brayered WHITE CRAFT INK over the raised images to make them pop. The PAPER BUTTERFLY ACCENT made the perfect addition to my card – these are fabulous! You can color them with ink or leave them white like I did. They are the same on both sides and you get 40 various shapes and sizes of butterflies with each pack. The stitched labels under the sentiment are from the THOUGHTFUL ESSENTIALS DIES – a huge set of dies that have a matching stamp set – I didn’t it for the card today.

- Sweet Sorbet — 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ & scrap
- Basic White — 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″, 4″ x 5 1/4″ & scrap
- Calypso Coral — 3 3/4″ x 5″ & 1″ x 4″
I love using embossing folders on the envelope flap to create fabulous flaps! These are the FUN PATTERNS EMBOSSING FOLDERS – you get both folders in a pack.
