Welcome to the COLOR FUSERS July blog hop where we were challenged to use Blueberry Bushel, Poppy Parade, Whisper White and Balmy Blue for our projects today. I found this color combination to be a bit challenging but once I got going on these cards I think the colors fell together nicely – what do you think?
I chose the FLORAL FRAMES and FOLIAGE FRAME FRAMELITS and the SPRINGTIME IMPRESSIONS THINLITS for my cards. I love all the different elements to the Foliage Frame Framlits.
I used an Aqua Painter to add a pop of Poppy Parade ink to the flowers below. Once I outlined them then I just blended the color to the insides without picking up more ink.
Dimensions:
- Blueberry Bushel 8-1/2 x 5-1/2
- Popp Parade 5-1/8 x 3-7/8
- Whisper White 3-3/4 x 5 & scraps
- Balmy Blue scraps
For the card below I chose the corner floral image to EMBOSS instead of cut on the Poppy Parade layer – The BIG SHOT EMBOSSING MATS are shown on page 221 of the Annual Catalog. They were a chinch to use and I love that all my framelits/thinlits can be used for cutting and embossing easily!
I hope the photo below shows a little more detail. It's always a little hard to photo graph how pretty the embossing is in a photograph.
- Whisper White Thick 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 scored at 4-1/4
- Blueberry Bushel 5-1/8 x 3-7/8
- Poppy Parade 5 x 3-3/4
- Balmy Blue scraps
- Whisper White scraps

Pretty cards Kelly!
I love the cards Kelly and I think I too would have had trouble initially using these colours. Florals is difficult with blues but you have conquered this problem. :O)
