Control Freaks Blog Hop – Sneak Peek!

Drum roll PALEEZEEEEEE….this is so stinkin' cute! I can't hardly wait for you to get your hands on this adorable stamp set called HEY, CHICK! It's a FREE Sale-a-Bration selection!!!! I have had so much fun with it – it makes me giggle every time I use it.

The first card below uses the TIE DYED stamp set for the background – another new stamp set coming in January. I stamped Crumb Cake ink on Crumb Cake card stock for the front layer. The little layer under the banner is Party Animal DSP. My card base is Rich Razzleberry with Pacific Point. I used an Aqua Painter to shade in the Chickens with Smokey Slate and markers for their hair, beaks and feet. The large circle is the 2-1/2" Layering Circles Framelit and 1-1/4 Circle Punches for the smaller chickens. I secured my chicken circle on  the Crumb Cake layer and then cut the sides of them off.

Here's another fun card – doesn't it just make you giggle? I used the HOORAY from the Perfectly Wrapped stamp set to stamp my background with Bermuda Bay ink. Then I cut a piece of Whisper White 2-1/2 tall and stamped my chickens. I glued the chicken layer down on my card front at an angle and cut the edges off. A 1/4" strip of Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral added to the top and bottom finishes it off. The shading under the chickens is Smokey Slate applied with an Aqua Painter and markers in Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight for the plumes on the girls.

STYLIZED BIRTHDAY is a single stamp that I've been using a lot since I purchased it – I love the font. It's a single stamp (shown below).
