Glitter Splatter Technique

I just love the clean and crisp look of this swap card I received – and the glitter on the beautiful leaves is the BOMB!!!!  The stamp set is shown on page 88 of the big catalog – called Vintage Leaves.  The matching framelits are on page 172.  GREAT NEWS – you can bundle these items and save 15%!!!  Even BETTER NEWS – these framelits also match the Lighthearted Leaves stamp set on page 44 in the Holiday Mini Catalog and you know how much I LOVE that stamp set!!!!

The leaves were stamped with a dark ink and sponged with Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and Delightful Dijon inks…then die cut using the Leaflit Dies.  It's easier to sponge on your color before you die cut.

Here's a close-up of the Splatter Technique…OMG!!!  It's the bomb!

Here's how you do it:

• Put a dot of Multipurpose Liquid Glue on a nonporous surface – an acrylic block works great
• Use your Aqua Painter to add a few drops of water to it and stir it up…this needs to be wet enough to splatter
• Then take your Aqua Painter loaded with watered-down glue and tap it on your finger to get it to splatter onto your leaves
• Sprinkle with our amazing super fine Stampin' Glitter – dump the glitter off and WAAA LAAAA!
