The Mirror Stamping Technique is such a fun way to add extra interest and dimension to your handmade cards, and there are several different ways to achieve the look! In today’s projects, I’ll show you two of my favorite methods for creating the illusion of water beneath your stamped images. One card uses Blending Brushes, while the other uses a Water Painter. Both techniques are easy to do and create beautiful results, so you can decide which one best fits your crafting style!

For my first card, I used Blending Brushes to create the soft water effect that brings the mirror stamping technique to life. The Timid Tiger card base adds a warm pop of color, while the beautiful Florals in Bloom Designer Series Paper provides the perfect backdrop. Together, they create a cheerful scene with just the right amount of depth and dimension.

For my second card, I started with a Basic White Thick card base and paired it with the beautiful green patterned Florals In Bloom Designer Series Paper for a fresh, crisp look. Instead of Blending Brushes, I used Water Painters to create the illusion of water for the mirror stamping technique. It’s amazing how a simple change in coloring technique creates a completely different look and feel!
