Anyhoo…I spent the day making some great samples to share with you. Here's one of them. I had some fun with our Vellum Cardstock – an item hard to find in the stores…I love this vellum – it's sturdy and GREAT for embossing. I embossed the flowers with white embossing powder and VersaMark ink. Then I colored on the back of the vellum with markers – Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose & So Saffron. This technique is called Stained Glass.
I backed the Vellum layer with White cardstock so it would make my flower images pop with color. It's really hard to secure vellum to cards because you can see the adhesive under your layer. So I used our Liquid Glue and just put little dots behind the colored images – it worked GREAT!
You'll also notice a new product – Finishing Touches Edgelits Die – these make such a pretty edge!
My Vellum Cardstock layer is 2-1/2" x 5-1/2 and the layer under it is Pretty in Pink with a Certainly Celery card base.
