Shakers Cards – BLOG HOP!

Welcome to the November TOTALLY TECHNIQUES BLOG HOP! We are featuring SHAKER CARDS this month. I chose the PARTY PIGGY bundle with Small Circle Shaker Domes – so fun! You’ll find a video tutorial here:

This little PARTY PIGGY bundle is so stinkin’ cute! I love that there or corresponding dies for each of the images. The Small Circle Shaker Domes on sale for $4.80 right now. And they can be used for more than just this bundle – you can create different shaker cards using them too.

I stamped the sentiment with VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it with White Embossing Powder – trimming it into two pieces and mounted it on the front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensiionals.

The Loose Shaker Elements on sale for $4.50 too. I love the irridescent quality of these – they will take on any color that you use them with.

I don’t think I’ve ever used Berry Burst with Balmy Blue but I love how it looks together.

Dimensions:

• Balmy Blue – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
• Basic White – 2 @ 4″ x 5 1/4″, scrap
• Celebration Expressions Memories & More Card Pack – trim 4″ x 6″ to 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″
• Celebration Expressions Memories & More Card Pack – trim 3″ x 4″ to 3″ x 3 3/4″
• Pretty in Pink – scrap
• Berry Burst – scrap

The inside strip is left over from trimming the Celebration Expressions Memories & More Card Pack layer for the front. I used Berry Burst Ink for the confetti in the bottom right corner.

Here is another card – same design but I used a different pattern from Celebration Expressions Memories & More Card Pack for this one with a Berry Burst card base and a layer of Basic Black under the printed card front. The dimensions for the black is 4″ x 5 1/4″ and the printed paper is trimmed down to 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″. This pig is stamped and die cut on Petal Pink cardstock instead of Pretty in Pink.

Here’s the inside:

OK – which one do you like better? The card on the left or the right? The Pretty in Pink pig or the Petal Pink pig?

I can’t wait to present one of these cards to my good friends for her BACON PARTY birthday!!!!
