This is one of the techniques that my class enjoyed on Wednesday. The skies the limit with color combinations with this one. I chose Elegant Eggplant, Real Red, Tempting Turquoise and Basic Black. It's a card fit for a ROCK STAR!
Here's how you do it:
- Shave some crayons onto wax paper
- Fold the wax paper over and then place it in between some scrap paper
- Iron with a warm iron – be careful not to over heat it or it mixes all the colors together and they aren't as bold and bright
- Die cut as desired
In other news…
Here's what I'm doing today…well with alot of help! I actually made food for our helpers…and you know I don't like to cook! I would have rather been scooping yucky leaves…than in the kitchen. But you have to feed your peeps – ya know?
Our pool started leaking last summer…about 500 gallons a day – HOLY MOLY! So we had to purchase a new liner and it's time to install it. Please cross your fingers for me – that the liner was the problem and it's not the underground plumbing!!!
Here's the guy in charge of what he calls "Pee-Wee's Big Adventure" – LOL! He's done this once before and this guy sure saves us alot of money! I can't imagine what it would cost for the pool store guys to come do this – EEK GADS! It's quite a job – once that liner comes out – the walls and pool edging have to be painted. The new liner is set in place and all the gaskets around the skimmers, jets and light replaced. Then the pool guy arrives with air blowers (I call them suckers) that suck the air out from under the new liner so it doesn't have any wrinkles while we are filling it with our house and the neighbors hose…it takes two days to fill this puppy up. So much work to get done before the BIG GRADUATION PARTY at the end of June!!!
Thanks for stopping by…

Love the technique Kelly. As for your pool, what alot of work but you are lucky to have your “pool guy” with his wisdom to save the day. Thought that the pool guy look familiar, “hi Steve!” LOL
I have never seen this great technique….how wonderfully easy and a beautiful result!! Sorry about your pool issues…does not look fun at all…hope your “pool guy” enjoyed the goodies that you provided for him…best of luck with this project!!
