Fall is in the Air!

Ohhhhhhhhhhh – it's freezing here!!!!  I don't know about where you're at, but here in Wisconsin – it's FREEZING!!!! LOL!  Not really "freezing" – but let me tell you…we went from 90 degrees to 60-something in a day!  And that wonderful heat NEVER came back!  Now those of you that know me (and those of you that don't are gonna shortly), know that I'm a "SUN" girl.  I love my swimming pool and living in Wisconsin – we don't get alot of time to carry on my summer love affair – with my pool that is!  Where was your mind going? LOL!  Well – with the "arctic" 60's – my husband took it upon himself to close my baby down – CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT????  I've been missing the last few days – in the blog world – trying to recover from my deep depression!  It's so sad….

Anyways – enough whining!  What's done is done!  I haven't really been recovering from any depression (although I am sad) – I've been busier than a MADMAN getting everything in place so I can go on my FABULOUS Founder's Circle trip to St. George, Utah!!! HOORAY!  Anytime I take time off – I need 2 weeks to get everything done so I can leave and come back ready to hit the ground running – LOL!  REALLY!  I leave next Wednesday and I have 135 swap cards to make for that trip…ask me how far I am???  I haven't even started! LOL!

AND – I just got a call from Stampin' Up! this week and I was selected to be a Workshop WOW presenter at the St. George, Utah Regional Convention next week!!!!  HOLY COW!!!!  I'm suppose to be going to Founder's Circle to relax and rejuvinate…and now I'm a pile of NERVES!!!! LOL!

How did I get so totally off track here?  Back to FALL (still pouting about the lack of summer) – it is my 2nd favorite season of the year – fall that is.  WHY?  I love the turning of the trees – truly spectacular in Wisconsin!  I love the upcoming bow hunting season…and I love my bear hunting!  All of these are starting in a couple weeks!!!!  Now I'm feeling a little less whiney!  The other thing I love is stamping (obviously) fall cards….don't you just LOVE the beautiful color combinations that come with this season???  Like this card:

Oooo La La – love those fall colors!  We have the NEW Cajun Craze and Early Espresso, combined with More Mustard and Old Olive for a spectacular splash of fall color!

I used our NEW Cork Sheets (page 205) and the Leaves #2 Die (page 213) to die cut these leaves – sponge a little Early Espresso on the edges and WA LA!  What a fabulous element for this card!!!

I also took an empty Jumbo Ink Cartridge and loaded it up with random splashes of More Mustard, Early Espresso, Old Olive and Cajun Craze reinkers to make my own custom ink cartridge for the Blessings Jumbo wheel – VERY cool!  And lets not forget the Square Lattice Embossing Folder on the More Mustard and Cajun Craze cardstock layers on the front – WOW - it adds so much texture!

The Falling Leaves stamp set is the perfect compliment to the Blessings Jumbo Wheel.  Staying with my multi-colored wheel - I put a few drops of reinkers on a baby wipe and stamped the little leaves on the inside of my card!  The inside is just as important as the front – don't you think?
