Here's a special birthday card I made for my Hailey! She's my best critic and I knew I had to blow her away on her special day!!! Thanks to a layout designed by Christine Blain – I'm pretty sure I hit the mark. Christine used different designer series paper and different stamps on her card…and it was a beauty too.
It's super hard to get good photographs of this FOIL FRENZY SPECIALTY DESIGNER SERIES PAPER – it takes on a different hue and it shines in the light…making it a little tricky. One of those cards that's better to see in person – ya know?
How did this happen – 23 – OH MY! She's all growed up – LOL! Hailey is a fabulous kid…charming, funny, smart, compassionate, driven, stubborn, determined, loving and fierce. I love her more than anything in the whole wide world…as I use to say to her when she was little…and still do! We (grama & I) spent the day doing what she wanted…we went to the farmer's market in downtown Appleton were we nibbled on fresh cheese curds, won tons, egg rolls and shaved ice and then we hit the salon for mani/pedi's…lounged by the pool all afternoon and went out with her boyfriend, his parents and grandparents for a nice outdoor dinner at a local sports bar. It was a GREAT day to be 23!
Here's the inside – I used a different pattern of the FOIL FRENZY paper in the background with a white layer for my greeting – so pretty! Check out the ballons…I used the 1/8" Silver ribbon and frayed the ends to make a realistic looking tassel for them!
Do you love the crown? It's our tradition – we HAVE to wear it all day – no matter what – where ever we go. It's funny – some people just look at you like you're crazy…others promptly wish you a HAPPY BIRTHDAY. I had a cashier in a gas station look at my crown (YES I wear it too) and then look back at me and not say a word. I looked at him with a puzzled expression and said "do you think I just where this everyday?" And he said "hey, I'm not here to judge!" LOL!!! But seriously people – if you see someone wearing a HAPPY BIRTHDAY TIARA – wish them a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
