Welcome to the August Totally Techniques Blog Hop! We are featuring techniques with alcohol markers today – OH BOY! I wasn't sure where to start – there are so many cool things you can do with our Stampin' Blend Markers! I LOVE THEM! So after a little research I chose alternating photos to make beautiful cards!

It's all about BLENDS today! WHOO HOO! I love Stampin' Up! alcohol markers – there are so many things you can do with them…so many techniques!
Coloring on photos is something I did several years ago – I was so happy that I stumbled on this technique again so I could share it with you. One tip I forgot to mention in the video is to get one of your photos in duplicate so you have a photo to test out your marker colors.
This Fresh Freesia card is so pretty. The coloring on the photo is very subtle, but just enough to make a soft and pretty sympathy card.
I used the strip of photo that I cut off for the front, on the inside layer – that's really cool right?
Dimensions:
- Fresh Freesia 8 1/2” x 5 1/2 & scrap
- Basic White 2 @ 4” x 5 1/4” & scrap
- Photo 3 7/8” x 5 1/2”

This card uses the Tahitian Tide cardstock and Stampin' Blend with Granny Apple Green on the leaves:
This card is Daffodil Delight with the same Stampin' Blend Marker:
I colored the water with the Light Tahitian Tide Blend and used Petal Pink for the card:
And the last one uses Flirty Flamingo:
These are so easy and so pretty right? I encourage you to take some nature photos or find some you can use on the internet, send them to your photo processing center and create some black & white photos so you can make up sets of cards as gifts – my mom is going to LOVE these!
