Adding ink to an embossing folder opens up a whole new world for stampers! This is an oldie but goodie and one of my favorite techniques. So simple and so dramatic.
Isn't this a fabulous look – so much texture and detail! I love to play around with this technique – try a whole bunch of embossing folders and see which ones you like the best!
The EVERGREEN FOREST 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER is the BOMB!!! If you don't have this yet – you have to get it! I love the forest of trees and it's great for masculine cards for any occasion! I used Balmy Blue ink for this one. Don't you love the BALMY BLUE SHIMMER PAPER? OMGosh – so beautiful. The ornate frame is die cut from the center of the Shimmer Paper layer using the ORNATE FRAMES DIES – soooo pretty.
My sentiments are taken from the WRAPPED IN CHRISTMAS stamp set. You'll find a full list of all the supplies I used for these projects today down below the blog hop graphics. Dimensions:
- Whisper White Thick 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"
- Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper 4" x 5 1/4"
- Whisper White 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" & scrap
And my second card uses the WINTER SNOW EMBOSSING FOLDER – I love all these snowflakes! I used Highland Heather ink on this folder. The snowflakes die is from SO MANY SNOWFLAKES and the circles are die cut on Whisper White, Basic Black and Highland Heather with the LAYERING CIRCLES DIES.
Don't forget to add a few RHINESTONE BASIC JEWELS for a little bling!

- Whisper White Thick 11" x 4 1/4" scored at 5 1/2"
- Basic Black 3 5/8" x 5 1/8" & scraps
- Whisper White 3 3/4" x 5" & scraps
- Highland Heather scraps
The embossing folders clean up with you run water over them – it just slides right off – you don't even have to wipe them.
