I have a fun new watercolor technique for you today called WATERCOLOR DRIP! There are several different ways to do this technique and each one will turn out different.

The 1st sample below uses Call Me Clover, Bermuda Bay and Blueberry Bushel reinkers. The 2nd sample uses Calypso Coral, Mango Melody and Poppy Parade reinkers. And the 3rd sample uses Melon Mambo, Blushing Bride and Berry Burst reinkers. I love these color combinations!
I am set for upcoming retirement cards – don't you think these will be perfect? I hope you'll give this technique a try – sometimes doing techniques like this can be scary but I want you to remember IT'S JUST PAPER! Be adventurous!!! This watercolor drip technique looks like fun, and produces some interesting background pieces. I plan to try it soon, but in the meantime, I have a question. Do you think you could use the white re-inker as one of the colors? Or maybe as a fourth color, after all the others have dried completely? I think it is a craft ink, and therefore may not work at all. On the other hand, it might produce a faux-bokah look. I do not have a white re-inker, so cannot try it myself, but just wondering . . .
The two cards you just let dry has a bokeh look…what a versatile technique. TFS!
