I love EMBOSSING VELLUM CARDSTOCK. I has such a big WOW – adding texture with a see-through element. I chose the INTO THE CLOUDS 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER – this is FREE with your $50 order through 2/28/23 – it's part of the MORE TO SALE-A-BRATE items that just came out!
The owl from ADORABLE OWLS (also FREE with a $50 order) is stamped on a tag from the DESIGNER TAG DIES. I colored it with Balmy Blue and Daffodil Delight STAMPIN' BLEND MARKERS. I love how you don't have to color the entire owl – it's adorable in white! The paper behind my embossed VELLUM CARDSTOCK layer is from the DANDY DESIGNS DESIGNER SERIES PAPER (FREE with a $100 order). And I chose the BALMY BLUE VARIEGATED RIBBON for the bow and embellished with the PASTEL ADHESIVE-BACKED SEQUINS.

- Basic White Thick: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"
- Dandy Designs DSP: 4 3/4" x 3 1/2" & 1" x 4"
- Vellum Cardstock: 4 1/2" x 3 1/4"
- Balmy Blue: 1/2" x 2 1/4"
- Basic White: scrap
Our next project is a gift bag with a matching card that hangs on the front of the bag – OH MY GOSH! Fabulous right?
I chose to use the FAVORED FLOWERS DESIGNER SERIES PAPER because it's gorgeous and I have a whole bunch of it! It's FREE with your $50 order through 2/28/23. This is a perfect project to help you use up your DSP! I colored the BLACK & WHITE GINGHAM RIBBON with a BASIC BLACK STAMPIN' BLEND MARKER (the dark one) and tied two lengths together to make a more substantial bow to attach to the front.

Gift Bag:
- Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper: 1 @ 12" x 12" scored at 1" on top and 3" on remaining sides
- Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper: 12" x 8" scored at 3" on bottom and 1" on three remaining sides
- Ribbon
Card Hanger:
- Basic Black: 2 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Make sure you're using TEAR & TAPE ADHESIVE to put your bag together and to mount your card holder on the front – you don't want anything falling apart.
This one is for my mom's birthday! I used FRESH FRESIA for her frame and numbers.
Here are the templates to cut and score your DSP:
The matching card uses the left over piece from cutting the back of the bag layer above – 12" x 8" leaves us with a 12" x 4" strip. You're going to cut 1 1/2" off the bottom and fold it in half at 5 1/4". That's mounted on a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" layer of Basic Black cardstock. I used the FABULOUS FRAMES DIES to create a FRESH FREESIA frame.
The ALPHABET A LA MODE DIES are the perfect way to personalize your cards. I chose 78 for my mom's next birthday! The flowers are die cut from the large flower patterned FAVORED FLOWERS DSP with the FRAGRANT FLOWERS DIES. I chose gold embellishments and the new GOLD FACETED ADHESIVE-BACKED GEMS were perfect! BIGGEST WISH is my favorite sentiment stamp set – the HAPPY is stamped with FRESH FREESIA INK and MEMENTO BLACK INK for the "birthday."
Slide your card into the card holder that's mounted on the front of your gift bag and you don't even need an envelope! Add some coordinating tissue paper to make a gorgeous presentation.
Card:
- Card: Use left over DSP from cutting for the gift bag 4" x 12" and cut off 1 1/2" from bottom
- Basic Black: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" & scrap
- Basic White: scraps
- Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper: floral pattern to die cut flowers
