The first card uses a fun technique with an inked up embossing folder. I applied the ink with the NEW STAMPIN’ BRAYER. It works so well to apply ink to the folders and also large background stamps. The striped patterned folder from the STRIPES & SPLATTERS 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER combo pack seemed like a perfect choice – it reminds me of the stripes on a watermelon. You’ll find the other half of the folder combo pack (the splatter folder) in the PRODUCT LIST down below. I also used the NESTED ESSENTIALS DIES for my sentiment layer and the ICE CREAM SWIRL stamp set for the sentiment on the front and the CHARMING SENTIMENTS for the inside. I used Parakeet Party & Poppy Parade for my ink.

I love the inside of this card – it just makes me happy!
Here is the stamp set – so fun for bright and cheerful cards!
This card uses a watercolor technique on FLUID 100 WATERCOLOR PAPER die cut from the SCALLOP CONTOUR DIES. This is a fun and easy technique that has a different result every time! The sentiment is from the HEARTFELT HELLOS stamp set – another set that’s free during Sale-a-Bration. This card is made with Granny Apple Green and Melon Mambo.
Dimensions:
- Basic White Thick — 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
- Granny Apple Green — 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Basic White — scraps
- Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper — scrap
- Basic Black — scrap
Here’s the watercolor wash background where I used the Granny Apple Green with the Melon Mambo:
And this little jewel!!!! OMGosh right? This card was a swap that I receive from Cheri Pyer – it uses the DECKLED CIRCLES DIES to create a rocking card base. The base is folded in half and the Sweet Sorbet watermelon layer is cut in half. Sweet Sorbet and Shaded Spruce work great with the WATERCOLOR MELON stamp set too! I used the PETAL PARK BUILDER PUNCH for the Daffodil Delight flowers. AND this stamp set coordinates with the MODERN OVAL PUNCH – it punches out the big watermelon and you can use it for the 1/2 watermelon images – WHOO HOO! I pulled the sentiments from SIMPLY SPARKLING (back) and ICE CREAM SWIRL (front).
