I love making papercraft projects other than cards! Don’t get me wrong – I LOVE MAKING CARDS but there’s so many more things you can do with your hobby! Here’s one of the fun ideas I came up with to throw some fun into my team Christmas party! Absolutely anything can be embellished – a big jar of cheddar puffs cannot escape my papercrafting!
I went in search of some type of candy that would make a fun GUESS HOW MANY game for my team Christmas party. I found these at Dollar General – Kroger carries them too. When I’m out shopping I’m always looking for products that will work for papercrafting ideas – these were perfect!
So I went about designing something festive and fun to decorate this rather plain packaging. Here’s what I came up with. The MERRY & BRIGHT bundle and MERRY BOLD & BRIGHT designer series paper fit the bill. I measured the indented center where the label is and cut my DSP.
Dimensions:
- Merry Bold & Bright DSP — 4 1/4″ x 12″ & 4 1/4″ x 10″
- Basic White — 4 3/4″ x 3 1/4″ & scrap
- Poppy Parade — 5″ x 3 1/2″
- Shaded Spruce — scrap
You can see the sparkle on the Blueberry Bushel bulb below – I added Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to all the bulbs – the sparkle is magical.
I also made a matching gift card holder. I thought the container of cheddar puffs would make a fun gift to give to one of my grandkids along with a gift card – SO FUN RIGHT? So this project will serve double duty for me! And since I made up the Christmas Light layer above so I would know what I was doing in my LIVE tonight – I have an extra – great reason to turn it into a card!

Here’s another card I made with the sample base I designed – again so I would know what I was doing! I had another layer using the bulbs from a previous project – I just it down to 3″ x 3″, added a layer of Poppy Parade and I have another gift card holder! WHOO HOO!
