We kicked off the night with this fabulous TOWER CALENDAR! This sets on my desk and I use it multiple times a day. I made one back in 2020 and just changed out the monthly calendar pages each year. I thought it was time for a REFRESH! I chose the FLORAL CHARM DSP because it’s colorful, pretty and it makes me happy! This tower is going to be so pretty sitting on my desk for the next several years.

Dimensions:

• Berry Burst – 2 @ 8 1/2″ x 11″ scored at 4″ & 8″ on the short side
• Berry Burst (calendar mats) – 12 @ 2 5/8″ x 2 3/4″

I chose the LIGHT & WONDER stamp set for my tower sentiments. I love them and they are a little bigger than average, which was perfect for the space I had at the top of the two TIMID TIGER DSP panels.

Here is the top – the tower is a square that uses two sheets of 8 1/2″ x 11″ Berry Burst – see score dimensions above.

STAMP HAPPY ACADEMY MYSTERY STAMPING

We featured this fun fold at our FIRST EVER Stamp Happy Academy (SHA) Mystery Stamping Challenge – so fun! You’ll find the link to the SHA Facebook page below – you can learn all about this amazing website (the best in the world for stampers) created and filled with tons of stamping inspiration by me and my besties Dena & Barb HERE. This fun fold is one of my favorites because it allows you to see BOTH sides of the designer series paper! I used the BRUSHED WITH BEAUTY DSP with Crumb Cake, Early Espresso and Very Vanilla. The flowers and leaves are from PETALS OF BEAUTY. The sentiments come from GATHERING MOMENTS – I am in love with that font.

Dimensions:

• Crumb Cake – 4¼” x 5½”
• Very Vanilla – 4” x 5¼”, scrap
• Early Espresso – 2 @ 3 ¼” x 4 ¼”
• Very Vanilla – 2 @ 3” x 4”
• Brushed with Beauty DSP: 5” x 6”, score at 2¼” on the long side, 1/2″ x 3″

I switched the DSP panels from top to bottom and bottom to top. Which one do you like better?

Another SNEAK PEEK! ADDRESSED TO YOU is so fun! With the oval and rectangle frames that you can fill in different images in the “break” area – there’s flowers, snowflakes, trees and balloons. What fun!!!

And because you asked – here are the recipes for the cookies I mentioned tonight:

• 3/4 c butter
• 1 1/2 c brown sugar
• 2 T water
• 2 c chocolate chips (12 oz bag)
• 2 eggs
• 2 1/2 c flour
• 1 1/4 tsp baking soda
• 1/2 tsp salt
• Andes Mints

Melt 1st four ingredients together. Remove from heat and stir – let cool a little bit. Add eggs one at a time. Mix in dry ingredients, except the mints. Refrigerate 1 hour. Roll into balls Place on cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes. While cookies are still warm, add 1/2 Andes Mint on each. Allow to melt for a couple minutes and swirl mint with the back of a spoon.

Mexican Wedding Cakes (Also called Russian Tea Cakes)

• 1 c butter, softened
• 1/2 c powdered sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 2 1/4 c flour
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 3/4 c finely chopped nuts
• Powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 400. Mix butter, 1/2 c powdered sugar and vanilla. Mix in flour, salt and nuts until dough holds together. Shape dough into 1″ balls. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 10-12 minutes. Roll in powdered sugar right out of the oven. Cool and roll in powdered sugar again. Single batch only makes 2 cookie sheets full – I always double this recipe.
