Winter Post Tealights

Ohhhhh – I'm having so much fun with these tealights and beautiful boxes that my Stampin' Up! friend Jill came up with!!!!  Isn't this an OOOO AHHHHH?  What a GREAT gift to give to teachers, bus drivers, your favorite bank teller, and on and on and on!

I made this one with the Winter Post stamp set and Elegant Soiree Designer Series Paper – combined with the Northern Frost Decorative Strip and the 5/8" Victoria Crochet Trim lace.  Baha Breeze & Soft Suede ink were used for the Decorative Label layer.

Here's a close up of the tealights.  I used my 2-Way Glue Pen to apply glue around the outside edges of the candle and then took them out of the metal container to sprinkle them with Dazzling Diamonds glitter.  If you leave them in the metal base – the Dazzling Diamonds sticks all over the place. I was definately covered with alot of BLING when I was done – but I think it was worth it!!!

I've had several of you ask me "what happens when you burn them" or "what are you going to do when they catch on fire?" You are taking one very thin piece of tissue paper and heating it until it melts into the wax.  It's saturated with wax.  I burned one until it burned out and the tissue paper just ends up on the bottom of the metal base….nothing happened.

If you'd like to make a set of your own – go HERE for details and to see the set I made with the Jolly Holiday Designer Series Paper and the Holiday Lineup stamp set.
